Job Description

An assistant media planner is a person who works in advertising agencies and he or she must be aware of the client's needs, requirements, and products. The planner must be able to study the preferences and habits of the targeted audience. He/she has to chalk out a strategy at the right time for the client to put forth the advertisement of the product and services to reach the audience.

An assistant media planner has the responsibility to use the best combination of media to get the client's targeted audience. He/she has to support the senior planners in executing the projects successfully. The assistant planner should be aware of the latest trends in advertising techniques and has to watch the movements of the competitors and get ready to counter the attack.

The media assistant should have the first hand knowledge of demographic particulars and constantly follow the changing habits of the users and customers. Further, he or she has to keep a perfect record of plans, schedules and the billings of the client. Besides the normal duties, the assistant media planner must be ready to look after the administrative work also as and when needed by the management.
