Marine Superintendent Resume

Marine superintendents are responsible for docking the vessels of the shipping line as per the orders, supervising the unloading and handling of cargo, performing maintenance work, hiring new employees, etc. They are the main caretakers of the shipping vessel who report any damages to the main crew and try to fix them. If it is not possible on board, whenever the ship docks next, the issues are reported to the dock personnel and necessary repairs are made to the ship.

It is normal for the marine superintendents to stay in the ships for long stretches of time and it depends on the company and the contract being made to decide for how long they are required to stay in the ships and provide their services.
