WORK ENVIRONMENT:-

Residential support workers are also called as care officer who take care of the social welfare of adults and children in the residential care.

As a residential support worker, your customer might include children in care or adults with mental health tribulations, education or corporeal disabilities, habit matters or other social and emotional requirements.

  • Hourly rates for recreational and agreement work can be somewhere between $7 and $14.

Salaries can be less in the private sector.

WORKING CONDITIONS:-

In the permanent job you will basically be working for 37 hours weekly, frequently on the shift rota which will include evenings and weekends and sleep in duties. You might also be on duty at times. Recreational work and job sharing are widely offered.

You will be based in the children's hostel, homes or adult residential care center, which might be purpose-built or adapted houses.
