Ref: Referred by Dr. David Stearns, General Physician, Frisco Clinic

Dear Ms. Hinkle,

As discussed over the phone, I hereby put forth my application for the position of a General Duty Nurse within your renowned health facility. I have completed my academics in the field of nursing, from the University of Texas, in the year 2009, after which I had undertaken an 18 months internship program in the Frisco Hospital, where I was trained and mentored by Dr. David Stearns, in the provision of high quality nursing care to patients.

Throughout my internship, I have been involved in patient care services like conducting daily patient check up, which includes recording their temperatures, blood pressure, and noting down pulse readings, ensuring that their nutritional needs are satisfied, admissions and outpatient services etc. I have also developed my efficiency in providing assistance to physicians and surgeons, in the form of preparing sterile instruments and necessary medical equipment for diagnosis and treatment of patients.

I am highly motivated in the service of needy people, ensuring a family centered service to the patients and visitors, in adherence to the quality and standards set by the organization. Being empathetic and compassionate has facilitated my interaction with the patients and has helped me to keep them motivated throughout their stay.

I wish to become a part of your team and work towards increasing its efficiency, while ensuring a comfortable stay for the patients, thereby contributing to the facility's advancement in providing medical treatments. I am looking forward to an interview with you, which will give me the opportunity to express my interests and capabilities more effectively, thereby facilitating your decision in considering me as a desirable candidate.

Enclosed with the letter is my resume, where you will find detailed information pertaining to my academic and professional background. Please feel free to contact me anytime in order to discuss my application in detail, or if you wish to schedule an appointment for an interview.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Shirley Parent
