Job Description:

A clinical operations manager is responsible for managing clinical research projects which include protocol writing/development and execution, clinical trial and data management. He/she is primarily responsible to function as a contact representative in respect of all protocol execution and to follow the established standard procedures in planning and conducting clinical research studies.

A clinical operations manager has to work with the Director of clinical operations in foreseeing the resource needs and identify resources to ensure that the needs of the staff working in a project are met without any difficulty. He/she has to supervise the staff and ensure that they fulfill their job requirements according to applicable regulatory requirements.

A clinical operations manager has to assist and cooperate with the development and management of contracts and budgets that are related with clinical trials. He or she has to assess the performances of the employees and retain highly talented and performing employees. A clinical operations manager must be aware of the company policies and practices and resolve the arising problems. He/she has to prepare status reports regularly and study the progresses thereof and submit the same to the management or clinical study program manager for perusal.

  • I had implemented clinical study in coordination with clinical program manager and maintained budgets and financial reports.
  • I was responsible for developing SOP and "Best practices" that are applicable to the staff and imparted training to department staff.
  • I had developed various strategies for efficient data collection and statistics and documented them for future references.
  • I was in charge of the attendance of the staff and regular absentees were warned of serious consequences and some of them were subjected to disciplinary proceedings.

Educational Qualifications:

I have a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration from a University in Chicago.
I am in possession of a certificate in Clinical Leadership and Practice.
