Hydro Test Engineer

A Hydro Test Engineer or Hydrostatic Test Engineer is responsible to check the pressure handling capacity of the pressure vessels (pipelines, boilers, plumbing, gas cylinders etc.) The testing is done with water to check the pressure handling capacity of the vessels; it is important because the pressure conditions for different application of pressure vessels is different. Moreover, it is possible that the pressure might increase beyond the normal value, in such cases the vessels should be able to handle the pressure (till threshold value). The household pipes, pipes used for mining, boilers, gas cylinders, etc., undergo hydro test before they are approved for bulk production. If you have experience in this field, and wish to apply for the post of Hydro Test Engineer, then you can read through the sample hydro test engineer resume given here. The general qualification required for this post is a bachelors or masters in mechanical engineering. If you have prior experience in this field, you must mention the correct details of it in your resume (say, you have worked in boiler hydro testing , then mention the plant capacity, the techniques used, troubleshooting, etc.). Try to accommodate your resume in one page (without messing it up!); employers generally prefer one to two page resume (never make it appear like a booklet, even you would refrain from reading such a resume!) Put extra efforts to prepare separate resumes for employers demanding different eligibility criteria and requirements; both soft copy and hard copy.
