News Manager Resume

News managers are responsible for managing and controlling the overall philosophy and content of the news being published for any organization they are working for. They analyze the script and format of the news to be published and provide constructive feedback for the same. They finalize the show which would be published to the masses. They make sure that the information being published is genuine and in compliance with the censorship rules set up by the government.

Various teams report to the news manager with the latest information, news, work, and reports; the news manager then edits their content accordingly. They may need to work on state holidays and also during the time of emergency. News managers typically work simultaneously with the radio and television departments and report to the assistant director of the organization. Controversial and unusual cases are dealt with extreme scrutiny and supervision by them. The news managers are also responsible for making budgets for the news department and getting them approved from the higher management.

A candidate needs to have completed a bachelor's degree either in journalism, public broadcasting, or communications with a minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in the same field. If the candidate has a master's degree in any of the above sectors then a minimum of two years of experience is required by most organizations. One must make sure that his/her educational qualifications and experience are mentioned in good detail in the resume.

The below given resume sample shows the same.
