Podiatrist Cover Letter

A Podiatrist is a doctor who specializes in treating diseases of foot, ankle and lower leg. He can perform a variety of functions such as diagnosis, surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics and other general treatment of the foot. Some of the problems for which he provides treatment are fracture, ligament tear, foot ulcer, corn and foot aches. Along with these, he also looks into all kinds of foot deformities.

In order to become a podiatrist, a person has to complete a Masters degree in Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with specializing in biomechanics, surgery or clinical pathology. After the successful completion of this course, he has to take a test from the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners to become a certified practitioner. The applicants who pass are issued certificate of practice from The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
