WORK ENVIRONMENT:-

Motor vehicle breakdown engineers are also known as assistance technicians or roadside recovery technician. They assist the person whose vehicle have busted down or has failed to start.

As a breakdown engineer, your work will begin when a vehicle owner makes a call for the breakdown service. The call center will give you information about the site of the vehicle and the nature of the mistakes.

At the sight of breakdown you will:

  • make investigation of the vehicle
  • inquire the motorist for the explanation of what happened
  • discover the mistakes

  • perform the repairs at the roadside

TRAINING DETAILS:-

You can work towards the National Vocational Qualifications in Roadside Assistance and Recovery (Level 2 and 3). With huge experience, you can take the Certification in Advanced Automotive Diagnostic Techniques, Level 4 (4121).

You will work with the Institute of Motor Industry's Automotive Technician Accreditation i.e. ATA for improving the prospects of your career. The professional development course has three levels which are as follows:

  • Master Technician
  • Diagnostic Technician
  • Service Maintenance

In order to go through each level you can take a sequence of practical exams and online awareness tests.

WORKING CONDITIONS:-
