A Fingerprint Technician should have the knowledge of different biometrics systems currently used, as it gives the idea for modifications and new technology to be implemented in fingerprint algorithms. Also, he/she must be able to decide the micro-controller, and the sensors used, taking into consideration the reliability, power consumption and economical aspect(no use spending thousands, when the same circuit can be built with cheaper components!)
