• Perform all blood bank procedures using a wide variety of biomedical instruments (IBM 2997) and scientific reagents.
• Serve as Technical Advisor on weekends and week nights to laboratory staff.
• Serve as In-house Educational Coordinator, planning and organizing in-service seminars and workshops on current technology for blood banking.
• Provide didactic and technical instruction to blood bank internists.
• Maintain monthly inventory of blood bank reagents and daily inventories of blood bank donor bloods.
• Monitor quality control of reagents and blood bank instruments.
