Job Description and Responsibilities:

A tool room manager should have the control of the stock in the tool room for the purpose of executing an efficient system and delivery solution. He/she is completely responsible for maximising the performance and profitability against the already agreed targets and control.

A tool room manager has to supervise, plan, evaluate and organise the tool room and he or she has to lead the team members and train them to achieve the high productivity in the most safe and efficient manner. The tool room manager has to schedule or re-schedule the working time and work force to meet the demand and complete the work in time.

He/she is completely responsible for inventory control activities related to consumables and tools. The manager must keep accuracy in maintaining the inventory and must eliminate waste. He or she is also required to maintain the computerised inventory management system. A tool room manager must see that the tool room personnel are supporting the internal customers without any complaint.

  • After analysing the tools and mould fabrications, I am planning and executing enhancements to various programs.

Prior to the above employment I had worked as a tool room supervisor in a company in Colorado from the year 2002 to December, 2005 and I was responsible for the following activities.

  • I kept on analysing the tooling machines periodically and identified the bothering issues and recommended methods for rectifying the issues and thereby prevented downtime.
  • I had been the leader of the technical team for the installation of all plant machinery and equipments. Till I relinquished the post to join the new job, I was maintaining these installations.
  • I had been looking after maintaining the work force and work schedule to ensure that there is no slow down in the progress of works.
  • I was responsible for the customer care and I did the job to the entire satisfaction of the customers as well as the management.

Educational Qualifications:

I have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a University in Colorado.
I have done my apprenticeship in Moulding works.
I have attended the seminars on Solid Works Basics and Basic Moulding Skills.
