- Initiated improved quality control system to meet Dane specifications for full-year warranty. System resulted in reduction of rejects to less than 4% on 500-600 engines completed monthly.
- Established purchasing policies utilizing second and third sources for parts which resulted in Baur-Dane assuming more competitive pricing position.
- Classified purchasing details on 80 different production engines: implemented inventory control; greatly improved ordering efficiencies; and set up effective marketing service policies.
Accomplishment: Through expanded automation effected a labor cost reduction of $12 million annually. This was on $82 million in annual sales and the difference between a loss and substantial profit for management.

- Shouldered full responsibility for this tractor-trailer maintenance company servicing the Shaw Line Haul Fleet consisting of 500 trailers and 200 tractors traveling New England and upper New York State.

- Initiated many vehicle design changes which were adopted by the Stanza Motor Company.
