Bar Manager ResumeJob Description: A bar manager has to set an example by himself and ensure punctuality, attendance, attitude and maintenance of hygiene. He/she has to train the employees about discipline and procedures. If any violation of discipline is found, the manager has to report the matter to the higher officials to initiate disciplinary proceedings. The manager has to control all the employees including assistant manager and ensure that the required standards are achieved and maintained. A bar manager has to look after the safety measures in the bar and ensure security procedures are strictly adhered. He/she has to liaise with the kitchen managers to see whether the dishes are served properly and see that hygiene is maintained. The manager should make aware of rules and regulations to all concerned regarding supply of liquor, sale of tobacco, opening and closing hours of the bar. A bar manager has to maintain records of the stock position and order for fresh supplies of liquor and other items so there is no deficiency in service. The manager has to schedule the work plan of waiters and allot work by forecasting the number of customers visiting the bar daily. He/she has to be more careful during the weekends when the numbers of visitors will be more. Maintaining cleanliness on a daily basis is the responsibility of the bar manager and he/she should complete this task with the help of available workers for this purpose.
