• Knowledge and experience with hand tools, various power tools and basic computer skills, experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, and MS Power Point is preferred.

• The ability to pull industry specific cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments.
• dressed and terminated cables based on prints or provided termination lists.
• serviced low voltage devices related to security & fire alarm systems, intercoms & CCTV systems.
• Maintained vehicle inventory and vehicle maintenance.
• Been responsible for provided tools and vehicles.
• Made connections to telephone lines for alarm monitoring.
• Maintained and adhered to operational procedures and complete appropriate close out documentation.
• Identified and prepared pathways and supports for new cabling system installations.
• Detail /Mark up as built wiring diagrams during system installation.
• Abide by building code standards and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with other Technicians, Project Managers, and Field Managers regarding project status.
• Effectively communicated with customers regarding project status.
• Supported other technicians in the areas of your expertise.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

Education

• High School , Eastern Virginia School (VA)

Skills

• Valid Drivers License Required
• High School Diploma/ GED Required
• NICET licensing or other fire certifications preferred
• Fire licenses may be required based on state or local regulations
• Electrical Experience a plus
• Knowledge of computers preferred
• Ability to be available to work on-call when scheduled
