Plant Accountant Resume

A plant accountant handles accounting activities in small as well as large manufacturing plants. The tasks of a plant accountant are significantly similar to those of a general accountant. The role of a plant accountant includes preparing all accounting and financial data, balancing finance, managing accounting procedures, preparing tax returns, tracking revenue and expenses, analyzing financial reports, preparing accurate financial data, balancing bank accounts, maintaining accounting systems and procedures, maintaining payroll systems, managing inventory control statements, and performing financial planning.

A plant accountant should possess a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. It is also mandatory to have a certification in any of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) programs. The skill sets and knowledge required for a plant accountant job include excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling and analytical skills, and good communication abilities.
