Dear Ms. Cook,

As you suggested a few days ago, I am enclosing an updated resume as part of the formal application process for the position of tile setter supervisor.

You are already familiar with the quality of my work from conversations with my manager and from my performance evaluations. However, you may not be aware that two of my projects were featured in House Beautiful magazine. Therefore, I am also enclosing the article.

Two other qualifications that make me a strong candidate for the position are that I know this company well, having worked as helper, apprentice and tile setter; and I have at times filled-in as lead in the supervisor's absence.
