Paramedic Cover Letter

A paramedic resume cover letter is written by a medical professional; working to provide emergency medical care to people outside of hospital. They work in the field catering to the emergency requirements like trauma care, anesthesia, oxygen, providing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and quick lift up from the accident site to the hospital. Their work is aimed at stabilizing the patient while still on the way to hospital. While doing this, they have to follow some strict guidelines and protocols.

Various kinds of paramedics are:

EMT-B (basic): they provide the patient with basic treatment like administering injections, putting them on oxygen supply, CPR. They are not allowed to do any intravenous treatments on the patients
EMT-Intermediate: they are allowed to perform basic intravenous procedures like putting IVs, drips and introducing artificial airways passage to the respiratory system.
EMT-Paramedics (EMT-P): They are the most experienced paramedics with clearance to put the patients on ventilators, if and when necessary.

But the scope of these responsibilities varies from state to state. They have to undergo a first responder training to get this job. This training is certified by the American Red Cross. Also there is a fixed criteria to become a certified paramedic.
