Dear Dr. Meredith,

Upon viewing your job vacancy published in the US Mail dated December 27, I hereby extend my application for the position of an Audiologist within your renowned health care facility. I am a Doctor of Audiology, studied from the Lamar University, and completed in the year 2009. Soon after my graduation I undertook an internship in the Life Map clinic, Austin, TX, where I practiced audiology, under the guidance of Dr. Lynn Bautista, for a period of 16 months.

During my internship, I had the privilege to explore and implement the practice of audiology, under the doctor's supervision, which helped me in developing a clear understanding in the use of various testing devices, audiometers, and computer based systems to diagnose hearing related disorders. I had also been involved in determining the course of treatment for several patients with spatial hearing loss, auditory imbalance, noise-induced hearing loss, inability to distinguish between sounds, and reduced amplification, while providing them with necessary rehabilitation for the treatment and cure of their disorders, with the help of implant amplification systems.

Besides, I am also familiar with cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing aid, otolaryngology, and speech and language pathology. I wish to utilize my skills and knowledge acquired through my education and internship, to grow within the field of audiology and explore the upcoming technologies, keeping myself updated of modern practices, while fulfilling the need of the society and the nation by being a part of your clinic's team of doctors.

I request you to consider my application favorably and allow me to express my abilities more effectively, by providing me with the opportunity to meet with you. Enclosed with this letter, you will find my resume, where I have mentioned my academic details and the duties and responsibilities as an intern.

Please feel free to contact me anytime during the week, in order to discuss my application in detail. I sincerely await the opportunity to become a part of your renowned team and contribute to its efficiency and advancement.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Elvera Pontius
