Engineering? Do you know what exactly is engineering? Or what is an Engineer?

Engineering is one of the most creative fields, it is the profession of applying scientific, technical and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, machines, structures, systems, devices, and processes that safely develops a desired objective or a good and useful inventions.
Usually engineers apply the combination of science and mathematics to find the solution to the problems or to improve the status; they need to have a required knowledge related to the projects what they get so they need to be keeping on learning throughout there career to keep them self update.
And one who practices engineering is called as engineers.
This field is very broad profession where you can find many sub branches in it,
Which you can choose according your own choice.
Below are some of the many engineering basic, beginning with the specializations ones from which all other fields have been developed.

Chemical Engineering: the basic of chemical engineering is chemistry and with the combination with math’s and physics. These engineers apply changes in the properties or composition of matter for use in industry. Chemists usually perform the basic research, and then chemical engineers modify the processes discovered by the chemist to make them suitable for efficient, full-scale production.

Electrical Engineering: this is one of the largest branches of engineering; this field contains more than thirty sub fields. Jobs are varied, in manufacturing, utilities, communications, and in all industry in which electricity plays a role.

Industrial engineering: The branch of engineering that is related with the efficient production of industrial goods as affected by elements such as plant and procedural design, the management of materials and energy, and the integration of workers within the overall system.

Civil engineering: The oldest branch of engineering where they are trained for the specialization in the design and construction of public works, such as dams or bridges, and other large facilities.

Mechanical engineering: This is the broadest among all the other Engineering disciplines which deals with designing of tools and there production. This branch is mainly is related with all types of machinery in industries and all aspects of their mechanism and functioning; the design, construction, development, production, operation, installation and maintenance; such as gas turbines and large steam, components of thermal power stations, jet engines, machine tools, internal combustion engines, air conditioning and refrigerators, heating machines etc.

Software Engineering: software engineers develop software. They manage software development projects using well documented processes that produce exceptional results. Software Engineering will help create any software product you can describe and develop and maintain software what ever is needed.

Aerospace engineering: aerospace engineering can be referred as aeronautical engineering, this are responsible for designing and development of
Space vehicles, missiles, satellites and aircraft etc. these engineers also study the combination of elements of civil, mechanical, electrical, and metallurgical engineering.

Marine engineering: marine engineering is some what similar to mechanical engineering, they responsible for designing and installation of mechanical or electrical equipment for ships and other marine facilities.

Similarly engineering have many more branches in it like

  • Architectural engineering
  • Automotive engineering
  • Agricultural engineering
  • Bioengineering
  • Environmental engineering
  • Manufacturing engineering
  • Fire protection engineering
  • Mining engineering
  • Nuclear engineering
  • Petroleum engineering etc

Eligibility to be an engineer:

If you want to go for an engineering course you need to be 10+2 and one should have minimum 50% marks in physics, math’s and chemistry to be eligible for the engineering seat and if you are legible then you need to give an entrance exam for the merit seats or can go directly for an management seat.
One can even appear for an entrance exam when they are pursuing 10+2.
People who are from poor community can go for bank loan for there engineering degree.
